2008 ATIONAL BLACK ARTS FESTIVAL
This 20th annual celebration of black music, film, theater, art and culture features a host of events and attractions including actor Charles S. Dutton’s one-man show “From Jail to Yale … Serving Time On Stage”; a conversation with Dr. Cornel West, Carrie Mae Weems and Wynton Marsalis; the Pan African Film Festival; a World Music Festival featuring Hugh Masekela, Los Hombres Calientes and Roy Ayers; author and playwright Pearl Cleage with Alvin Ailey Artistic Director Judith Jameson; and many more. Festival also includes an artist market at the Georgia World Congress Center and Embrace, the fine arts fair, at Mason Murer Fine Art. Through July 27.
