From SP's "Give me the good news first" desk: The Atlanta Dogwood Festival announced today that it will be returning to Piedmont Park in 2009, after drought concerns led Park officials to send many events to other locales in '08, resulting in a less-than-satisfactory Dogwood experience in the parking lot at Lenox Square mall. Also today, the Bravo cable network confirmed that it has picked up the wildly popular "Real Housewives of Atlanta" for a second season.

From the "Now give me the bad news" desk: Citing the current economy, the Arena Football League announced today that it is suspending the 2009 season, meaning no Georgia Force games next year. Also today, the Bravo cable network confirmed that it has picked up "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" for a second season.
