Another one bites the dust...

The economy has taken down another restaurant—and a very good one, at that. Chef/owner Gary Mennie shut down his latest venture, Taurus (so named for Mennie's astrological sign), after New Year's Eve's dinner. The chophouse opened to much acclaim in 2005 after Mennie departed from the helm of Canoe, where he reigned over the kitchen for 10 years. No word on what will move into the well-designed space in South Buckhead, but the city views from the balcony are enviable for any brave company looking to venture a new business in these unstable times.
