The Second City: Too Busy To Hate... Too Hard To Commute

Second City’s original Atlanta-inspired comedy transforms the Hertz Stage into an underground comedy cabaret

General admission tickets – Sept. 19, 2008 @ 8 p.m.
If you loved the Hertz Stage’s transformation into a French Cabaret for Jacques Brel last season, or you just believe in the power of laughter to make the drive through Spaghetti Junction possible, you won’t want to miss this World Premiere comedy revue created in partnership with Chicago’s Second City. Comedic birthplace of Steve Carell, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Mike Myers and Tina Fey, Second City’s legendary comic genius turns its pen on Atlanta with a new show that’s sure to be a peach. Be prepared for a heaping portion of hilarious southern-fried comedy from the masters of sketch and improv comedy.

Why We Love This Project
The Second City troupe has produced some of the most accomplished comedians and writers in contemporary America.  They reached out to our Alliance to create a piece that would reflect our city in all its diversity, complexity and hilarity.  Our Alliance wanted to give our local comic and improv community an opportunity for national exposure and also want to give our audience a chance to laugh.  A lot.
