GET PHYSICAL
Just in time for the holidays, The Pace Club, a new boutique gym parked squarely between Buckhead and Midtown, opens up for all of us to sweat out the overloads of turkey, cranberries and sweet potato pie we’re feasting on. The fitness club is a 5,000-square-foot oasis designed in hues of white. The décor features modern Danish furniture, natural leather seating and interior privacy curtains to allow you to keep some secrets to yourself, while you’re trying like hell to give yourself an excuse to shove more pie into that hole and fit back into those hot skinny pants. Come on, you can do it. Working out does have its perks at the Pace Club. Members each get their own pre-session silver tray prepared with warmed bamboo towels, chilled ultra-purified water, fresh flowers and a customized daily fitness agenda. After you’ve groaned and grunted for all you’re worth, you’ll reap the benefits of the Pace Kit, which includes a mix of protein beverages, more water, organic hors d’oeuvres and supplements. Personal training memberships are available from $99 monthly. Instructive classes and clinics also are available for members and nonmembers from $49. www.thepaceclub.com.

HARNESS THE CREATIVE
Supporting local artists is key for keeping this city creative, as is wearing one-of-a-kind pieces that no one else will be sporting this holiday season. Score new goods at the Icon Style Innovative Creators Trunk Show, Thursday, Nov. 29, at the DeFoor Centre, from 6:30 to 11 p.m. The $10 admission fee for this shopping/networking/social/drinking hodgepodge of holiday fun includes a live fashion photo shoot, freebies, sounds from DJ Wildlife, a cash bar and a smartly organized roster of emerging designers. Pay cash at the door, or order tickets online at iconstyletrunk show.eventbrite.com.

BUZZED
Face it: Your BFF doesn’t want another run-of-the-mill scarf from Express, and your sister probably could do without another trio of scented lotions from a major bath-and-body manufacturer. This holiday season, shop Beehive Co-Op, one of Atlanta’s better marketplaces for locally made goods. The boutique’s “Skip the Mall” event on Friday, Nov. 30, from 5 to 9 p.m., includes apparel, jewelry, accessories, home décor and kids’ gifts. Local designers include Plane-n-Simple, HJ Designs, Genki Hats, RELICBoutique, Bloomin Loomin, Pretty Jane, The Collective, a.fine shirt, Blood, Lush Designs, JRL Creations, Beau Beaux, Urban Wildflower Dolls, Tu Tu Kids, Tasha Hussey Design, AC Lynn, Sweet Pockets, Melissa Tabor and Just Add Honey. Save 15 percent off all purchases during the event. www.beehiveco-op.com.

NEW KID ON THE BLOCK
In-the-know shoppers are already hip to Jac, the judiciously edited boutique with all the allure of NYC and none of the Atlanta attitude that hurts so many of the local shops. To make everyone feel welcome in her new space, celebrate the holidays and make new friends, owner Jaci Effron’s throwing a great big holiday sale. The sale covers some of her favorites, like Madison Marcus blouses and Joie boots (the shop’s own line), as well as Kasil jeans and Bambu bowls. Discounts run the gamut from 10 to 40 percent off. Oh, and when our drought ends with some real rain, stop in for an additional 10 percent off. www.dearjac.com. SP
