Adam Murphy at the Q100 radio station

By Adam Murphy

If you’re hungry for an extra helping of restaurant health scores, you can get your fix on the radio. I like to call it the Radio Report Card. Once a month, I dish out dozens of restaurant scores on Q100’s Bert Show in Atlanta. I also entertain listeners with an audio clip from one of my heated confrontations at a failing restaurant. I grill restaurant managers weekly to keep them on their toes and keep you informed. I also serve up restaurant scores every Thursday afternoon on South 107 FM in Rome. I have made it my mission to expose nasty restaurant violations so you can make good dining decisions when you go out to eat.

I uncovered serious restaurant health violations in April that will definitely spoil your appetite. Huddle House at the Paulding Plaza in Dallas failed with 37 points and a U for unsatisfactory. The report says the cook touched a ready to eat omelet with their bare hands. We confronted the manager about it and she agreed the health inspector caught the cook red handed. Huddle House received 76 points and a C on a reinspection. In Locust Grove, I Love N.Y. Pizza on Highway 155 scored a U with 39 points. Health inspectors found dirty cooking equipment and utensils in the restaurant. I Love N.Y. Pizza received 85 points and a B on a reinspection.

Here’s some more food for thought: House of Lu on Cherokee Street in Marietta struggled with only 49 points and a U. The report says raw chicken was stored over onions and potatoes. Plus, there was a roach problem in the restaurant. House of Lu received 90 points and an A on a reinspection.
